2024-2025 Main Street Gallery Season

Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, Rachelle has always felt a deep connection to the landscapes around her. Growing up surrounded by mountains, waterways, and dense forests shaped her love for the outdoors and sense of place—something that continues to inspire her art today.

Her creative process blends field sketching, watercolor painting, mapmaking, and printmaking, all driven by a desire to capture both the feel and the beauty of the landscapes she explores. She often incorporates hand-drawn, printed, and historical maps into her work, grounding each piece in a specific location and making the experience of place more tangible.

When she’s not making art, Rachelle stays busy as the Executive Director of the Juneau Softball Association and the Gallery & Programs Manager for the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council. In her free time, you’ll likely find her playing softball, hiking, camping, or exploring with her dog.

Rachelle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Art from New Mexico Highlands University (2012) and a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University (2015).

Rachelle extends her deepest gratitude to her family, friends, and coworkers for their support and encouragement in bringing this exhibit to life.
