The Main Street Gallery 2022-2023 Exhibit Season

September 9, 16, 23, 30, 2022: Live Experience Series at the Main Street Gallery
Four evenings of art and culture are experienced through food, movement, and more!

October 7 - 28, 2022: Positive Affirmations
An exhibit by the First City Council on Cancer (FCCC)
An open call to honor cancer fighters and survivors with artwork, poems, stories, and other creative mediums.

November 4 - 23, 2022: Carhartt ART
An open call exhibit repurposing Southeast Alaska work wear. Put your old Carhartts, Grundéns, and Xtratufs back to work!

December 2 - 9, 2022: Youth in Art
An open call exhibit for area youth artists to display their most current work in a professional setting. 

January 6 - 27, 2023: An Expression of Natural Light
An open call to photographers for an exhibit bringing light to the Main Street Gallery in the darkest month.
 
February 10 - 24, 2023: The 37th Annual Wearable Art Show Exhibit
Get up close and personal with selected Wearable Art pieces from “Choose Wisely” the 37th Annual Wearable Art Show.

April 7 - 28, 2023: Squaring Off & Blackout Poetry a Combined Exhibit
A combined open call to artists to create art in a square foot of space using any medium, and to create poetry from existing literature presented in any medium.

May 5 - 26, 2023: The Fabric of Life
New pen & ink drawings designed for textiles, clothing, wallpaper, upholstery, and more. Artist Ray Troll explores the concept of repeating patterns - how we make sense of our world. Inspired by the natural world, each piece follows a theme, such as salmon, sharks, plankton, birds, dinosaurs, and life in Alaska. 

June 2 - July 28, 2023: Artists of Ketchikan Annual Invitational
An annual invitational exhibit showcasing works of accomplished local artists.

August 4 - 25, 2023: Blueberry Arts Festival Art Exhibit
An open-call exhibit for the whole community working in any medium for the 48th Annual Blueberry Arts Festival. Prizes awarded in age categories!
