Basics of Wheel Throwing

Basics of Wheel Throwing will begin with an introduction to the studio and a potters wheel demonstration. You will learn the basic steps of throwing a cylinder on the wheel before trying it out yourself using up to four one-pound balls of clay.
You can keep your new works of art, we will dry, trim, bisque fire, glaze and glaze fire them for you. When your masterpieces are finished, we will notify you when they are ready for pick-up (allow three to six weeks).
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. The first 10 minutes of class will be covering studio etiquette and the last 15 minutes of class will be set aside for clean up.
Basics of Wheel Throwing is required to access other studio classes.
Due to limited space, cancellations more than 2 weeks in advance are entitled to a full refund. Less than 14 days notice prior to a class are eligible for 50% of the registration fee. Less than 24hrs notice is non-refundable.
*Students must be 18 and older to enroll.
