33rd Annual "Quilting in the Rain" presented by the Rainy Day Quilt Guild

The quilters of the Rainy Day Quilt Guild are prolific quilters and present an impressive array of quilts every year for the "Quilting in the Rain" Quilt Show. In addition to quilts of all sizes, RDQG presents "Quilts of Valor" to Ketchikan Veterans at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 16th.

Arts Report on KRBD
Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.

Friday Night Insights - "Tlingit Wageworkers' Frontier and the History of Capitalism in Southeast Alaska" presented by Peter Stanton

Modern capitalism arrived at the Northwest Coast of North America in two waves: the first wave with the fur trade, and the second wave in the late 19th century with salmon canneries and gold rushes, changed life in Southeast Alaska forever. Presented by Peter Stanton.
The Nude and Rude Revue presents "Deep Dive" with The Red Lantern

Founded in Skagway and featuring a collective of artists from around the country, the troupe returns to Ketchikan for the first time in over five years! Performances blend multi-disciplinary artists with a live band, a flair for theatrics, and a playful sense of humor into a uniquely SEAK burlesque experience. Members are bringing their bawdy bodies to Ketchikan for four shows in two nights - four opportunities to reel in the entertainment!
Bonus points (and prizes!) for the most committed costumed sailors, mermaids, crustaceans, krakens, and above-deck ocean-dwellers!

Bootlegger's Ball: Roaring 20's Party/FUNdraiser! - Ketchikan Pioneer Way Association

Come eat, drink and dance the night away and help to support the renovations of the Pioneer Hall at the FUNrasier!!!! Dave Rubin and crew are going to play followed by Scott Bowlen spinning roaring 20’s tunes. The food will feature appetizers popular in the 1920s. There will be a Roaring 20s photo back drop. Plus, tickets to purchase for your chance to win baskets full of goodies. Oh…drinks will feature specials from the 1920's too!!
