We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 4th “Green” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2024.

International Art Competition “Green”

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 4th “Green” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2024. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. You are welcome to submit any style or subject matter as long as the theme color "Green" is prominent. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art.

All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. Winning artwork (First place) will be on the poster of the show. Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards may also be presented.

Fee is 20 $ for the 2 images of artwork, $28 for 4 images, $40 for 6 images, $48 for 8 images and $58 for up to 10 images. The deadline to apply to this art competition is July 11, 2024.

Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.
