Rehearsals are every Monday from 7pm to 8:30pm at the First Assembly Church of God. The winter performance is Sunday, December 22nd at 3:00pm.

Spruce Root and Sealaska Heritage Institute are offering a Path to Prosperity Business Basics for Artists workshop, a virtual event from November 6-8, held via Zoom from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

The program is open to all Southeast Alaska artists and Sealaska shareholders, and is designed to equip artists with practical business knowledge to help navigate the unique challenges of the region. Our curriculum focuses on essential skills to turn your art into a thriving business.

Branding & Customer Discovery
Business Planning
Financial Projections
Grant-writing
Business Licensing & Accounting
Led by experienced instructors, this workshop offers valuable insights and support to help you build a sustainable business around your art.

Registration fee is $25. Fee waivers are available.
All participants regardless of income status are encouraged to apply. The course fee may be waived for participants facing financial difficulty. Please email grow@spruceroot.org to request a waiver after registering for the course.

Arts Report on KRBD
Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.

Call to Artists - KAAHC "Ornaments Galore!" Deadline
An open call to all artists to submit up to 6 holiday ornaments in any medium. Pieces must ready to exhibit at the Main Street Gallery. All exhibit submissions will debut at the Opening Reception on Friday, November 1st, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The exhibit will be on display at the Main Street Gallery through November 27th, 2024.
Ornaments are due to the Main Street Gallery by 5pm, Friday, October 25, 2024.
