Whether it is beautifully engineered and created halibut hooks, or the magnificent totem poles of the area, to the stories, poetry and drawings for the inception of the Alaska Magazine, to the creation and evolution of Wearable Art in Alaska artists continue to make the world we live in meaningful and joyful.

Alaska Folk Festival Call to Artists

The Alaska Folk Festival is seeking submissions for the 49th Annual Folk Festival poster artwork. All interested Alaskan individuals / artists are invited to apply. The short application includes a rough sketch of your concept, a brief bio, and a description of what you’d like to produce for the artwork. Submissions are due October 1.The winning submission is offered a $500 stipend. Read more and apply at the link in bio!
