Artist Evon Zerbetz
Evon Zerbetz’s linocuts have informed projects ranging from a 65-foot wall of architectural art glass for the Alaska State Library, sculptures suspended in busy public buildings, to linocuts for state health posters that might be push-pinned to the school nurse’s office wall.
Her linocuts illustrate an armload of books for children and adults; roll down the highway on a mobile science exhibit for the Connecticut River Watershed on Wheels; are the backbone for 12 public art commissions and a multimedia traveling exhibit she built about the common raven—Raucous: Everything Raven!
Ultimately, her work is an expression of sheer wonderment for other species on the planet. It shares her big joyous blurt of, “WOW, look-at-how-cool this creature is and check out its superpowers…”
