March 8, 22 2017:  Art You Heart & Peer Critique

Art You Heart: This is where we get to share the art that we see in the world with each other. This is a space to discuss trends, techniques, materials, with other. Bring images, examples, digital images, what have you and create an appreciation for something new.

Peer Critiques and “The Final 15”: We will be joined by artist Steven Villano to discuss how to critique peer work and the importance of giving and receiving feedback on your art. Each month we invite anyone to bring a piece (working or finished) written, visual, or musical and we’ll spend the final 15 minutes to peer critique.

Artists Salon Mission:
In an effort to invigorate and inspire both longstanding and emerging artists, and to cultivate a future-forward artistic direction, Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council invites artists, makers, thinkers, and fellow creatives to discuss, inspire, and further shape the creative landscape of Ketchikan.

Salons will feature a presentation or conversation topic and plenty of time for discussion. Participants are welcome to bring libations or food, and light snacks will be served. This is an opportunity to engage our local artists and art-enthusiasts, to solicit creative feedback, generate ideas, and collaborate and nurture the talents within our community—new or established, we can all learn from each other!

This list is edited as presenters are confirmed. Dates subject to change.
