Steppin Out “12″
Start:
April 20, 2012
End:
April 21, 2012
Updated:

Ketchikan Community Chorus’s spring concert, Steppin Out ’12 will feature the medley, 100 YEARS OF BROADWAY.  Thirty voices and a small instrumental ensemble will creatively present this fast paced, always changing but yet always familiar review of show music which is sure to entertain and please its audiences at The Ted Ferry Civic Center, 7:30pm, Friday, April 20 and again on Saturday, April 21st.

Utilizing a cabaret form, a delightful evening of dance and music will be presented for the lucky audiences. Light refreshments will be available as well as a no-host bar. Following the show, attendees will be encouraged to stay and visit with friends and performers, listen to some pre-programmed music and even dance the night away if they so choose.
Steppin Out ’12 will be a complete evening of food and entertainment.

As has been the custom for the last few years, interspersed between the chorus sets, will be soloists and small groups which will also entertain the audience with more Broadway music. Two barbershop quartets, Affinity and Spirit Wind, will be presenting some musical numbers, as well as soloists: JoAnna DeSanto, K.A. Swiger, Sarah Rasnake, Sheila Zastrow and Lallette Kistler. It’s been rumored that we may even have some Broadway Bums drop by to sing a bit..

The costumed show will be choreographed by long-timeKetchikanartist, Clare Bennett. The audience will be given the opportunity to test its “musical trivia IQ” with prizes awarded for tables with the most musical trivia accuracy.

All in all these two evenings will be the perfect way to relax following the passing of the April 15th tax frenzy.

Come join us .
