KAAHC 2019-2022 Strategic Plan:

Arts Council board members and staff conducted our strategic planning retreat in October of 2017. Our facilitator was Katie Parrot and she led us through a review of our current state of being, helping us to recognize our strengths, our weaknesses and a sustainable direction for the future of a vibrant, effective and inspiring organization into the future. • KAAHC will financially stable and sustainable

The final strategic plan will be completed and posted here by the KAAHC Annual Meeting in March 2018.

KAAHC 2013-2018 Strategic Plan:

After attaining our long standing goal of a Home for the Arts in Ketchikan, the organization began to think about new goals for the next several years. In order to assure relevancy and to be connected with the interests and desires of the community, we began a two year process of research and conversation to develop our 2013-2018 strategic plan. We began with a community conversation in which we invited stakeholders, artists, members, municipal leaders, educators, other non profits arts organizations and others to share with us their thoughts on the Arts Council. Over 40 community members attended the conversation and we gathered over 60 pages of comments. The Board then sat down that with information and put it together in a cohesive document. We used that information in a strategic planning session at the Board level, facilitated by an outside non-profit consultant. The staff then compiled all the gathered information and created the the finished document. Below are our four main goals for the next several years, to be reviewed annually by the Board. If you would like to see the full document, the link to download the document follows a well.

Goal #1 KAAHC maintains a sustainable organization with an effective infrastructure for growth and diversified funding sources.

Goal #2 KAAHC builds Awareness and Advocacy for the arts, and artists of Kethcikan, and the Arts Council.

Goal #3 KAAHC cultivates life long learning in the arts.

Goal #4 KAAHC evaluates existing programming/services for relevancy and effectiveness on a regular basis.

And our favorite goal which has proven surprisingly motivating…
Goal #5 World domination through the arts of Ketchikan.
