The offices of the Arts Council  and the Main Street Gallery are located in downtown Ketchikan, at 330 Main Street.  Look for the white building with the purple railing! We are up the hill from the old Wells Fargo building and across from the original Fire Station in Ketchikan. Our neighbors directly across the street are First City Players – Ketchikan’s community theater organization.

Arts events are held in many locations in the community. Frequent venues include the following:

  • Ketchikan High School (a.k.a. Kayhi) Auditorium, 2610 Fourth Avenue
  • Ted Ferry Civic Center, 888 Venetia Avenue
  • Saxman Tribal House, Killer Whale Avenue, City of Saxman

The Arts Council office and The Main Street Gallery are open Monday –Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, except Thursday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturdays, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (closed on the last Saturday of each month to change gallery exhibit). Hours can vary during festivals, productions, and other events.

The Board of Directors of the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council meets monthly on the Third Wednesday of the month. The meetings are typically held at the Main Street Gallery and begin at 5:30pm. Please call to verify the date and time if you would like to attend a Board meeting. The KAAHC Board does not meet in July, August or December. Please see the “Board of Directors'” page on this website to find a list of current Board members and a short bio of each.
