The Careless Lovers play music that swings! The band is assembled from a group of swing dancer-musicians, inspired by the streets and clubs of New Orleans, New York City, and anywhere that hot jazz combos have been laying down swinging rhythms, past and present. They play a mix of traditional jazz, blues, and swing era tunes and styles, and it goes together like a wink and a smile. Careless Lovers are fresh, bright, and a little bit brash- this band comes on like gangbusters.
Their sound has a sweet nostalgia and surpising sass. They’ll charm you then elbow you in the ribs. They’re a bit darling and a little bit dirty. They’re bouncing and full of energy, and play infectiously danceable rhythms that will have you out on the floor- or at least jumping in your seat.
